Unarmed Security Officer - Non-Profit Organization

Pay: $14/hr
Location: Houston, TX 77002 (Downton Houston)
Schedule: Full-Time, Afternoon, 35 hours/week 
  • Monday: 1:00PM - 8:00PM
  • Tuesday: 1:00PM - 8:00PM
  • Wednesday: 1:00PM - 8:00PM
  • Thursday: 1:00PM - 8:00PM
  • Friday: 1:00PM - 8:00PM
City Security Services is seeking a professional, dependable, and alert Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services within a Non-Profit Organization. In this role, you will conduct foot patrols, visitor activity, escort employees to their vehicles, respond to security incidents, and maintain a visible security presence throughout the property. Successful candidates will able to remain calm under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and handle emergency situations with professionalism and confidence.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct foot patrols throughout the interior and exterior of the property
  • Monitor employee and visitor traffic entering the property
  • Respond to employee complaints, disturbances, and suspicious activity
  • Complete detailed Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports
  • Contact law enforcement, fire, or EMS personnel when emergency situations arise
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence
  • Verifying all access points are secured during your shift
  • Assisting onsite operations with maintaining order including loitering and unauthorized use of the facility 
Requirements: 
  • Active Level II Security License or the ability to obtain one
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work overnight shifts
  • Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication with a diverse community
