City Security Services is looking for qualified security professionals to join our transit security team.

Transit Security Officers play an important role in maintaining safe, orderly, and secure transportation facilities. Officers must be alert, professional, physically capable, and prepared to respond to a wide range of situations.

 

Pay: $22/hr
Location: Houston, TX 77030
Schedule: Full-Time, Overnight, 42 hours/week

• Sunday: 2:00pm-10:00pm
• Monday: 2:00pm-10:00pm
• Tuesday: 2:00pm-10:00pm
• Wednesday: 2:00pm-10:00pm
• Thursday: 2:00pm-10:00pm

Primary Duties

• Maintain assigned security posts.
• Conduct facility patrols.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and other assigned locations.
• Identify security, fire, and safety concerns.
• Respond to emergencies and alarms.
• Assist injured or ill patrons and employees.
• Coordinate emergency response when necessary.
• Monitor visitors and facility occupants.
• Address unauthorized access and rule violations within the scope of legal authority and established procedures.
• Report hazards and maintenance concerns.
• Prepare required incident reports.
• Follow all applicable post orders and facility procedures.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Hold an active Level 3 security certification with guard license in hand.
• Hold current baton and OC certifications.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Maintain a clean three-year driving history.
• Demonstrate basic computer proficiency.
• Successfully complete the required 24-hour training.
• Pass the required Physical Readiness Test.

Education and experience requirements may be satisfied through one of the following:

• Bachelor's degree and demonstrated relevant qualifications.
• Associate degree in criminal justice/security plus two years of security experience.
• Three years combined military, law enforcement, or corrections experience.
• Five years of verifiable commercial guard force experience.
